No School for Students on October 10th, 11th and 14th – A reminder that there is no school for students on Thursday, October 10, Friday, October 11th and Monday, October 14th.  The teachers will be attending in-service meetings on those days.  Have a wonderful extra long weekend!

Morning Drop-off Reminder – Please be careful when dropping your children off in the morning or picking them up in the afternoon.  Supervision of our playground area before school begins at 8:00 a.m. daily.  Because there is no supervision until 8:00, students who do not ride the bus are asked to remain home until 8:00. Morning childcare is provided for a minimal fee for all students who need to be dropped off prior to 8:00 a.m.  For the safety of our students, please do not drive on to the playground while students are outside.

Lunch Playground Supervision – The following people have Lunch Playground Supervision for the month of October:

10/7 to 10/9 – Erica Lawton

10/15 to 10/18 – Kelly Schwigel

10/21 to 10/25 – Stephanie Freitag

10/28 to 11/1 – Marisa Galvan

Dress Code Reminder – A reminder that the Family Handbook says that shorts may be worn after April 15th and before October 15th.  Shorts may not be worn to Mass.  Thank you for your continued efforts to follow the St. Andrew School Dress Code.

Colder Weather Ahead – Just a reminder as the colder weather approaches, to please be sure that your child is dressed appropriately.  The students are expected to come to school with warm clothing for playing outside during the winter months.  This also means suitable clothing for playing in the snow.  Any students playing in the snow must have boots and snowpants.  The wind chill factor will always be checked before letting the children out for recess.  If it is too cold or dangerously icy, the children will have recess inside.

Soles for Catholic Education  – Strap on your walking shoes and join me for the first ever “Soles for Catholic Education” Walk on Saturday, November 2nd. This 2 mile fun walk around Mount Mary is to promote and celebrate Catholic education in SE Wisconsin.  This year we are replacing our annual fall Walk-a-Thon with “Soles for Catholic Education“, an Archdiocese-wide walk where we will participate with other schools. All of the money raised stays at St. Andrew School!  The focus of this fundraising event will be to provide funds for technology.  With the money raised from this event, we are hoping to put a SMARTBoard, Ipad and Apple TV in every classroom.  Please help us reach our goal.
